And then we have the themes. With the expense of the venue, the last thing I want to break the bank on is birthday party supplies. There are so many themes for kids to choose from nowadays, its great! There is always something for every kids personality. However, my son is obsessed with motorcycles and that has been the theme for the past three years! I’m hoping we can change it up this year with something else, but its not looking too promising.
I know this may seem really early, but I like to have things all planned and set….so if anyone has any great suggestions I’d love to hear them!!

I assume Hunter wouldn’t be interested in a princess party, huh?
My son is 10 and has a ton of cousins. We always have a family birthday party with all the kids. It ends up being 10 kids all around his age. I have recently let him choose an activity to do with a 1 or 2 of his friends from school in addition to his family party. He is happy with that and it’s not very expensive.
I used to spend a lot of money on a theme but if you only get a few of the items from the theme like the plate and cups it’s not that expensive and works just the same.
Star Wars??? Both of my boys are obsessed with it right now….Or his favoriate sports team?? A friend one year did a Willy Wonka party, she delived Wonka Bars with golden tickets as the invites inside of them…did the dots on paper for lickable wall paper.
I love princess party.. I am actually planning to have this kind of party theme for my kid’s coming birthday. I am sure she’ll like it.
Kids birthday parties are always fun to plan. Outdoor parties are always a good plan because it cuts your cost in half and kids can do fun activities outdoors. You should check out Kiwi Magazine’s May/June issue on how to throw your kid a green birthday bash.

At least you’re planning early, that’s good! You’ll have more than enough time to iron out all the details. Maybe you can check around your area for a park or playground where you can hold your party. You can do activities like kite flying, frisbee games, tug of wars, or even obstacle courses. It doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive. Good luck!
