With the Grammy’s being held tonight, it got me thinking about the songs I liked this year. Then with that comes the songs I don’t like. I love music. Who doesn’t? But there are some songs that I immediately change on the radio the instant the tune hits my ears. The list may surprise and you may not agree but here are the top 10 songs of all time that I can not stand and the reasons behind it.
- Touch Myself- The Divinyls I can’t stand this song. Its just so cheesy and lame.
- Wicked Game- Chris Isaak I don’t know why but this song gives me the major heebee jeebees. Always has.
- Hanging by a Moment- Lifehouse This isn’t a bad song. But it reminds me of an ex because it was “our” song. This song came out in 2001 when we were together and I still can’t listen to it.
- Your body is a Wonderland- John Mayer Have you listened to the lyrics?? Just creepy and gross. Plus he’s annoying.
- Cherry Pie- Warrant Just reminds me of trailer trash in a belly shirt dancing on a bar. Not a pretty picture.
- West End Girls- Pet Shop Boys I used to work in a retail store back in the day and the music tape was 2 hours. But I swear this was the only song on the damn thing.
- Waterfalls- TLC I was young when this hit the airwaves and just didn’t like it. Still don’t.
- I Swear- All 4 One Reminds me of my junior high crushes….gross!
- One Less Lonely Girl- Justin Beiber Yeah, there’s something about a 12yr old singing about love on mainstream radio. He belongs on Kidz Bop or the Disney Channel only. I feel like a major pervert listening to it.
- All Beatles songs. Sorry not a fan. All the songs sound the same to me. Except, Hey Jude, I actually like that one. The rest, I can live without hearing.

Oh yes, the Jonas brothers definitely. They remind me of Hanson…the group that sang “Mmm bop.” I hope they fizzle out just like Hanson did.

I love this! I keep on trying to remember the name of this one SUPER-ANNOYING song – maybe you can help me remember it? The one where “I wanna stand with you on the mountain, I want to bathe with you in the sea, I want to LIIIIVVE LIFE IS FOREVER, until the stars come down on me, wooooooooooo” – that was basically the whole song – super popular in maybe 1997, 1998?

LMAO I sent that Touch Myself song to Stoney when he wouldn’t leave me alone about stupid ring tones. There are some other ones that drive me crazy too.
anything by Justin Beiber (I actually thought his name was Justin Beaver before I read your post), Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift – they all just make my ears bleed.
When I hear the first strains (or screams) of “Who Let the Dogs out!!! I will leave a store or shut the radio off or toss it out a window, I would rather listen to a tv weather alert test bleating.
I worked an event where that “song” (read that noise) was repeated every 15 minutes for 2 1/2 days. I swear it got louder and louder, the thumps shaking the floor worse with each repetition.
Just about anything by John Mayer annoys me. Ugh. Fathers Be Good To Your Daughters is like nails on a chalk board. Hmm..what else. I hate Hootie and the Blowfish so anything by them is gonna bother me.

Waterfalls and Westend Girls are mine. I dont know what it is about that TLC song but I have to turn it off when it comes on.
